Mini-MAC Haul

Mini? Is any MAC Haul really “mini”, truly? I bought 4 items and it cost me $64 dollars for Christ’s sake! Oh well… I know it’s worth it in the end. My products will last such a loooong time, and there is no comparison!! Yet I know around the world us chicas and the makeup-lovin fellas the same out there are wincing in unison when we hear the total aloud…

Enough bitchin! On with the haul!!

First up is Cream Color Base in Hush… I was inspired to make this purchase by Tiffany D on YouTube. She made a video with a great tip about using the base on your cheeks to keep your blush lasting all day. And it works!

New eyeshadow pan… Shade is Gesso… Awesome, beautiful matte white. I’ve never used a white shadow that covers SO well; most are sheer and require layer upon layer of application to get any kind of decent coverage! I did a 60s, Twiggy inspired look using this on the lid today. It turned out great! I can’t wait to play with this some more.

Next up is a new powder blush… The shade is Melba and it’s a matte formula. I have plenty of shimmery blushes with my gorgeous Mineralize blushes, and Petticoat MSF which can be layered over virtually anything. The color is a gorgeous peach – something I’m seriously lacking in my makeup collection! I tried it out today and the matte formula will take a little getting used to – the pigmentation is much more intense than a shimmer and requires much less on the brush! Here are pictures of Melba in the compact, and swatched on my wrist with and without flash.

I didn’t bother to put up a picture of my Technakohl eyeliner pencil… Suffice it to say it’s an eye pencil… And the shade is Graphblack. I’ve been looking for something soft to line my waterline with and I’ve never used any kind of pencils from MAC. It’s got a nice soft texture, and it’s got great lasting power. I didn’t have to reapply it once today, and after swatching it last night on my hand, it didn’t come off in the shower.
