My first product review! At last! I’ve actually been meaning to post this for quite a while because this is THE lipstick that got me back into wearing lipsticks.

I was originally drawn in from a few swatches I’ve seen online, and THE knockout color in this line is SassyFrass.
It is a totally wearable way to pull off the fall trend of dark lips without looking like a vampire. SassyFrass is a deep berry shade and it’s a great fall color.
The other color I was extremely drawn to is Wildcard…
It’s the closest I’ve ever seen to a “daily wearable red”.
Pros: Great color payoff, doesn’t dry out the lips, very silky application, wears almost like a very pigmented gloss, and doesn’t fade and dry in a nasty way, lasts hours
Cons: It’s a little hard to stomach $18 for a lipstick when MAC’s a few stores down, but hey a great product is a great product
I will post a REAL picture of me wearing SassyFrass later on!
I finally applied for my MAC Pro card! About damn time! I’ve spent definitely over ____ dollars (well, you really don’t want to know) easy with them this year and I can officially call myself a makeup artist. I need the discount and benefits that card can offer me.
Here is a small image of my business card.

In hindsight, I wish I had added a few extra details… Perhaps in the back, or even in the front, I could have added some bullet points:
- Weddings
- Proms
- Special events
- Makeup Lessons
It looks a little bare to me. Oh well. You live and you learn. Vista Print is a relatively inexpensive place to get business cards made and I can edit and print if I can get some more clients and get these cards handed out. Ah, the difficult part… Getting some more clients!!
I also stayed up till 2 AM last night drawing up my very own makeup service contract… Which is absolutely essential. I should have done this from the beginning… I used Koren’s (enKoremakeup on YouTube) wonderful and extremely informative two-part video, along with a sample, skeleton contract I found online and personalized a contract for my freelance business. I now have all my bases covered to protect myself and future clients. I feel so relieved to have this out of the way!
Now it’s just the whole matter of getting some people interested in my services. That whole really essential, hard part of getting your foot in the door and doing good work and hoping people will pass on your name to others. I just need to get the courage to get out there and ask some local businesses to keep cards on their counters. Hopefully I can get some girls that need prom makeup or even some brides who are looking for some consultations.
Other than that, I realize I have had nothing but beaucoups of videos popping up on here lately! I need some more written content and pictures, srrsly!!! I am planning on doing some written reviews of products I have tried, as well as links to awesome posts from some of the beauty blogs I frequent, upcoming releases from great cosmetic companies, etc…
ONE LAST NOTE, IF YOU’VE MANAGED TO MAKE IT THIS FAR!!! If you’ve come by to visit the site, please leave a comment — I’d really love to gauge response and feedback, as well as if ANY YouTubers have had an interest in stopping by!!!
